What it does
Ingestics integrates with DeepL to provide high-quality machine translation for your imported content. DeepL is known for producing more natural, accurate translations than other machine translation services, especially for European languages.

- Polylang integration — Translated posts are automatically assigned the correct Polylang language
How to configure
- Get a DeepL API key from
deepl.com/pro - Go to Ingestics → Settings → AI
- Select DeepL as the translation provider
- Enter your API key (encrypted with AES-256-CBC)
- Configure the target language
- Save settings
Enable translation per provider in the provider’s settings.

When to choose DeepL over AI translation
DeepL vs OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini for translation:
- Choose DeepL for professional, accurate translations — especially European languages. DeepL produces more natural translations than general-purpose AI models.
- Choose AI (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) when you need both rewriting and translation in one step, or when translating to languages not supported by DeepL.
- Combine both — Use DeepL for translation and AI for rewriting. Fetch content, translate with DeepL, then rewrite with AI to make it unique.
