Moderation Queue for RSS Items

Not every RSS item is worth publishing. The RSS Moderation Queue gives you a review checkpoint between fetching and publishing. Items imported from RSS feeds land in a dedicated queue where you can approve, reject, or edit them before they go live on your site.

Approve, Reject, or Edit Before Publishing

Every item in the moderation queue can be reviewed before it is published. Approve an item to publish it immediately. Reject an item to discard it permanently. Or edit an item to fix titles, adjust content, or add categories before approving it for publication.

Bulk Actions

The moderation queue supports bulk operations. Select multiple items and approve or reject them all at once. This is essential when you return to a queue with dozens or hundreds of pending items and need to process them efficiently.

Queue Dashboard

The moderation dashboard shows all pending items with their title, source provider, fetch timestamp, and excerpt. You can filter by provider, sort by date, and search by keyword. The dashboard gives you a clear view of what is waiting for review and how many items are pending per provider.

Auto-Publish After Approval

Once an item is approved, it is published immediately. There is no second step or additional delay. The post is created with the correct post type, categories, tags, and featured image – all configured through the provider’s mapping rules. Rejected items are removed from the queue and not retried on subsequent fetches.

Moderation Workflow

1. Fetch: RSS items are imported during the scheduled fetch cycle
2. Queue: Items are placed in the moderation queue instead of being published
3. Review: You review items on the moderation dashboard – read the excerpt, check the source, filter by provider
4. Decide: Approve to publish, reject to discard, or edit to modify before approving
5. Publish: Approved items go live immediately with all mapped fields and settings applied

Does the moderation queue work with API providers too?

The moderation queue is designed for RSS providers. API providers publish directly since their data structure is typically more predictable and mapped through field configurations. RSS moderation is available on Pro and Business tiers.

Can I bulk-approve items in the queue?

Yes. The moderation dashboard supports bulk actions. Select multiple items using the checkboxes and approve or reject them all in a single action.

What happens to rejected items?

Rejected items are removed from the queue and are not retried on subsequent fetches. This prevents the same items from reappearing in the queue every time the RSS feed is fetched.
