Polylang Integration for Multi-Language WordPress – Ingestics
Polylang Integration
Ingestics integrates directly with Polylang, the popular WordPress multilingual plugin. When content is imported from an API or RSS feed, Ingestics can automatically assign it to a Polylang language. This eliminates the need to manually categorise imported posts by language after they are published.
Per-Provider Language Assignment
Each provider can be configured with a target language. When a provider fetches content, every post it creates is automatically assigned to the configured language in Polylang. This means you can have one RSS feed importing English content, another importing French content, and a third importing Spanish content – each automatically tagged with the correct language.
Auto-Create Translations
When combined with the AI Content Transformer, Ingestics can create translations automatically. The original post is assigned to its source language, and a translated copy is created in the target language. Both posts are linked in Polylang as translations of each other, so visitors see the correct language version based on their locale.
Language Switching Per Provider
Language assignment is not a global setting – it is configured per provider. You can change the target language for any provider at any time without affecting other providers. This flexibility lets you reconfigure your language strategy as your multilingual content needs evolve.
Content Synchronisation Across Languages
Posts linked as translations through Polylang stay synchronised. When the source post is updated by a subsequent fetch, the translated versions can be updated as well. This keeps all language versions of your content current without manual intervention.

Can I assign different languages to different providers?
